Letter from The Waverley Hotel Weyburn, Saskatchewan

Aug. 4, 1916

Dear Mother:–

We got in here about 4.30 so we had some time to kill before supper, we found that our train don’t leave until about 8.30 a.m. and gets to Brandon about five 30 P.M. so I will be back to camp a day late all right I am sending a wire it will be there before roll call at 8.30 A.M.

We had a nice trip down today I slept a lot so did Bob he has an awful cold he caught coming home on the train.

There is a young lady playing the piano here now. If I had an ear for music I could write to the tune.

Weyburn an’t half the town that S.C. is or if it is I surely can’t see it and I have been here lots of time

Well good night Mother dear I am sending a letter I wrote before I left but came home as soon as I had it written Your loving son
