Dear Mother:–

I spent a good day, and it was a monday to. I went for an hour and a halfs walk about 8.45 then I read untill noon, after dinner I went thru the musium and a cave about a quarter of a mile long or deep and there is close to 300 feet of earth over it, another river runs under where you walk along. I have some views to bring home all so. all the views I got of the cities I was in while on leave -

I am waiting for mail these days for mine seems hung up for some reason maby it will come tomorrow.

Well mother this is an other fine day, I was walking  most of the A.M. and enjoye the country here among the hill and creeks, my mail did not arrive yet. I have been warned for Kirkdale tomorrow but do not of coarse know how long I will be there before I get my transport. any way I am starting on that good old home stretch

I took in a concert here last night given by five young wemen which were fine and good I wish you could have seen them and heard the singing and music you surely would have enjoyed it all.

bye bye Mother dear as ever your loving son
