Letter to Mother from Liverpool, England

Kirkdale
Liverpool & etc
Dear Mother:–
I did not get around to write any yesterday but did a lot of chasing around. and ran onto a boy that got wounded in Aug. out of 1 platoon. he told me of several that have been killed since I was wounded. Ltc Corporal Johnston that fine halfbreed that beleave I have mentioned before has died of wounds
He said to me one day I do not know what will become of my wife and children if anything happens to me. but one thing they have a farm and big bank account so they will be all right that way. It seems such a shame he was a christian man to.
