Dear Mother:–
We moved our rest billets to day and I have a fine chicken net bed to sleep on in a hut.
It is a fine summer night just ideal and we are further away from the roar of the guns.
Use christian men are getting closer together one in the hut with me and another one about 3 huts away so we can get to gether often, all the Hazenmore boys are with me, I just wrote a letter for a boy who can’t read and write to his mother in Newfoundland we have a swimming pool to go into now running water
Well bye bye Mother I have to go because I have to buy some stuff and get in early

Well Mother, I have a few minuits to spend while the boys smoke. I am on the new M.G. coarse this A.M.
5th
3 P.M. An other day on my coarse and have duck soup 30 mi phy. drill 15 mi. after revallie at 5.30 then 8.30 to 12 M,gun. lecture and stripping and mechinasm after dinner an hours drill platoon, in our sections
I am in A. Co’y so just put A. Co’y in my adress, I am in 3rd platoon, we surely are having the right kind of a rest, and I dident need any rest any more than the man in the moon, I received a letter from Horace last night my first letter addressed to this batt it came since June 12th that was making good time
