Dear Mother:–
It is about 4.30 P.M. I just come back from bible study at S.C.A. we had a good visit and a good prosperous period. I am the only one of the bible class that is going away with any of the drafts now.
22-8-15[sic]
Well we are still in England but expect to leave tomorrow the way the roumers are going tonight. I have bot and pd. for a picture of the transport sec. Mr Redles will forward to you later. Miss Christie is sending you a snap of me in near future I was down at Gowers to night for a few minuets I took a few more things down there that I could not put into my pack my pack is all ready and I can be on the parade ground in 10 min. notice so we are just waiting for the old bugal to say fall in the 406th draft. I was on picket from 6 to 12 last night. this P.M. I took my poneys out onto a green and let one loose and hobbled the other. I then read my testament and slept till about 3.30 then I came back to the barn and watched a veterinary cut a wart off a sorrel poneys foot. Then we watered and fed and came over to supper.
England is the prettiest now that I think it could be the fruit trees are just loaded with blossoms and every where is so green.
Well bye bye I may write some more tomorrow.
I got a package from Annie Sunday a.m. it was surely good
23rd P.M. we pull to night so it is good bye to old England untill something happens that no one knows any thing about. But I am rejoicing in the joy of my salvation and I could not look forward to any thing that would cause me to have more joy, than to know as I know that God is with me and that he is useing me to full fill his desire in christian work. I was out with Westgate last night and he is becoming a child of Christ now
